I believe that a good wine starts on the wineyard and finishes in the cellar. I have been dealing with the wine since 1982, which is not only my job, rather my passion. I started my career as a main winemaker at a local winery but after a short period of time I decieded to make my own business and began to buy winefields.

Our plantations are protected by the Matra Mountains. The forces of volcanic mountains formerly raised out of the sea, compared to other northern areas there is more sunshine, mild winters and little rainfall. Due to these conditions high sugar content of the local grapes is common and makes a spicy fragrant, harmonious wine with high alcohol content.

Gyöngyöstarján

Gyöngyöstarján is placed 80 kms east from Budapest, int he center of the Matraian Wineyard.

Gyöngyöstarján

The first written sings of life found were from 1275. The village was owned by György Tarjáni’s sons originated from the Aba clan. The settlement was documented agricultural ranked, which lasted till the Turkish conquest.

The stain of the village is originated from 1571, which is the oldest int he county. Through the Medieval ages the grape and wine industry took big part of the inhabitants life.

This is well illustrated by the farmers of Gyöngyöstarján confidence into the future and their love of wine. These pros are still typical of the farmers in the village since the village has still growing 43 hectares of young plantation, which is nearly 10 percent of the total area. This rate exceeds both the vineyard and the national average. Gyöngyöstarján. A few hundred meters from the center of the village is a valley with several wine cellars. This location is planned to be a touristic place suitable for relaxing.

The village is right on the foot of the Matra Mountain, 472 acres are accorded to the village. From our village you can clearly see the never ending plain land. Our wineyards are protected by the mountain form the cold eastern wind, but from the south there are no mountains that do not allow the southern warm wind. These circumstances gave us a special micro weather which gave the opportunity for the growth of some mediterran plants. The great weather, the quality of the winemakers job gives you the chance to enjoy much of the wines of our area.

Rose wines

Poppy rosé
Poppy rosé

Peachflower-colored wine with tiny bubbles, sweet fruit fragrance, such as raspberries and strawberries. Despite the fact that the wine is dry, the sweet notes dominate, but a little bitter taste makes the Gamay based wine really exciting.

White wines

Gavaller
Gavaller

The Gavaller name may sound familiar to our consumers, the cuvee had huge succes in 2009. It is never enough of good things, so it is back. In this second act pure Tramini. The lately harvested grapes were matured in wooden barrels, so we reached an intensive flavor and smell. We generously filled the bottles like beaus do.

Zita-kötő
Zita-kötő

The wine from dad to daughter.
We really love the Hungarian kind of wines, so we created this Zenit. Grapes are lately harvested, when they were already shrunk. The intensive cavalcade of flowers and shrunk grapes makes a harmonic taste in our mouth, making us feel like on spring meadow.

Irsai Olivér
Irsai Olivér

It is fair to ask: Who really is Olivér Irsai? Potentially, the only person who could give a legitimate answer is Pál Kocsis, the person who ennobled this type of grape in 1930. And how well He did! Smell of great muscat, soothing acids, fresh, silky nature. Indispensable wine of the summer nights although a perfect choice anywhere, anytime!

Sauvignon Blanc
Sauvignon Blanc

Newbee of our winery, very characteristic, distinctive wine. The spicey smell and rich aromas gives attention to the wine. The classic, exotic, green, rich flavor, exception aroma associated with signs of the wolf apple, elderberry, and the harmony of the peach flavor is easily recognizable.

During the processing of grapes, fermenting musts and the new wine treatment we went for preserving the grape flavor and smell. We love to experiment, especially when it comes to red wines. Syrah is the baby of the soch love, made only of grapes from the very first harvest. Having a bottle open literally gives you the sensation of a cranberry field. No exangeration, this is what our syrah is capable of.
